ABX1-1 Fails in Senate Health Committee
The Health Care Reform bill ABX1-1 was defeated in a vote of the Senate Health Committee this afternoon. With only one of the seven Democrats voting in favor of the bill, and the four Republicans voting against the bill, a strong message was sent that the Legislators are concerned the proposed reform plan would add to the $14.5 billion dollar budget deficit.
While this is considered a success in the campaign for 'reasonable' reform, there will certainly be new bills introduced by the Legislature.
